GLUED EYES: A love and hate life through the eye of a camera
I’ve always seen photography as the art form closest to our hearts. It captures our purest emotions, and every click reflects the countless feelings and phases we go through in life.
In this series, I explore the idea of being Lost—lost in a world where we cling to illusions of love and friendship. At times, even the strongest and most rational person may lose sight along their journey.
With this concept in mind, and with the help of my two friends Nev and Sean, a couple, I recreated my feelings, thoughts, and reflections through this series. Like in many relationships, when you look into Nev’s eyes, you may see hatred, sickness, and disgust toward Sean. Yet through her body language, she clings to him like glue, deeply reliant on his presence. Conversely, though Sean’s face and eyes are often hidden, his body language conveys care and love.
As viewers, I invite you to explore the subtle interplay between their eyes and movements. Is it happiness? Is it what we call a red flag? Or is it merely an illusion born from our imagination?
